Welcome!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday. I want to let you know that the autism summit which I participate in will be replayed - and again it is FREE. If you missed it before, here is your chance.

Your child on the #autism spectrum CAN feel better, understand, communicate, sleep, be calm and focused. Join The Autism Recovery Summit 3!

In support of the replay of The Autism Summit 3, we will send out through the end of January The Assessment Manual to all who request it in an email to marilynachadwick@gmail.com

This website will give you a starting point into the world of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) strategies. You will learn what they are, who they're for, and how to determine if they can be effective for the person you are thinking about.

Effective communication means activating reliable ways of messaging along with clear body language. In short, BodySpeaks means total communication.

All techniques are developed within the context of three areas: speech, independent access, and supported access, such as Facilitated Communication Training (FCT). If you know someone who struggles to communicate or whose speech is limited, BodySpeaks may be able to help. Learn how to get started with the method and then how to continue the process of building skills and working toward independence.

Check out excerpts and descriptions from my series of Facilitated Communication Training Manuals. Throughout the website there are also additional resources: publications, videos and organizations that connect to this work.
